The new Porsche 911 a design icon and high-tech sports car

With its pronounced recessed contours and low apron termination, the rear end is archetypally characteristic of the 911. The low position of the number plate, along with the new, one-piece LED light strip together produce a dramatic look, and clearly differentiate the new generation from its predecessors. A high-gloss black rear trim panel visually combines the rear window and engine grille into a single unit that adjoins the enlarged extending spoiler. The Targa roof concept embodies the ideal combination of comfort and design.

It has a central rear silencer, which emerges in black tailpipes to the left and right of the license plate on the 911 Carrera T. On the rear axle, the proven multi-link axle in the LSA concept (lightweight, stable, agile) is used with an increased number of ball joints for even greater precision. A new feature is gear selection during dynamic downshifting. In the new 911 GT3, the 7-speed PDK boasts an even sportier set-up.

Tradition meets innovation: the interior.

The Java Community Process (JCP) Party was held after the day one activities. As always, the popular NullPointers, the so-called "unofficial" JCP rock-and-roll band composed of Java community enthusiasts, entertained the attendees with classic songs, such as "Come Together" and "Sweet Home Chicago." Specifications

The side bolsters are covered in leather, the seat centers in black Race-Tex, while the ‘GT3’ logo is embroidered on the headrests in Silver. The side bolsters on the cushion and backrest have a firm, sporty padding and offer excellent lateral support – even in the pelvis area. In addition, the safety when braking from high speed increases due to the high fade resistance of the PCCB. As a distinguishing feature, the rear-wheel-drive models have black louvres, while the all-wheel-drive models have chrome elements in the rear grille. The rear spoiler is positioned directly below the air intake and is now significantly wider, extending almost to the outer edge of the tail lights.

Models

The launch is staggered across international sales markets, with the anniversary edition being available to European sales partners from April. Buyers can also purchase a special version of the new edition of the legendary Chronograph I from Porsche Design. The Targa roof concept embodies the ideal combination of safety, comfort and design. The heatable rear screen made from weight optimised, composite safety glass and the sound-insulating roof lining ensure amazingly low driving noise when the car is closed. Porsche Stability Management (PSM) is an automatic control system for maintaining stability at the limits of dynamic driving performance.

A new shock-absorber technology also allows more powerful driving characteristics, with simultaneously increased driving comfort. On this technical basis, the engine of the new 911 GT3 draws a maximum power of 502 hp from exactly 3,996 cm³. With the standard 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK), the 911 GT3 sprints from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 3.2 seconds.

In this case the steering wheel also features contrast stitching. The leather interior is available in the colours Black, Slate Grey, Graphite Blue and Bordeaux Red. Lightweight construction means that the new design reduces vehicle weight by around three kilograms, while adapted geometry provides significantly improved lateral support in the shoulder area. Although the seat is now positioned five millimetres lower and has a very slightly thinner cushion, seating comfort has nonetheless been considerably improved. The new seats also evoke the simple operation of earlier 911 models, by way of classic leather loops to more easily facilitate ergonomic folding. A new seam pattern in combination with the completely reworked backrest shell gives a significantly different appearance that blends harmoniously into the interior.

With PASM Sport suspension, the body is lowered a further 10 mm (0.39 in.) in relation to the PASM chassis. In the interior the designers were also inspired by the iconic product designs of F.A. It has Sport-Tex equipment with special leather features in Black, while the contrasting seams are Slate Grey. The centre panels of the seats have a classic check pattern in Black and Cool Grey. Eighteen-way electrically adjustable Adaptive Sports Seats Plus with a memory package come as standard, as does the Sport Chrono Package with the Porsche Design Subsecond clock on the dashboard. In designing the current 911, the designers therefore studied the design history of the model line and looked at where changes were introduced.

The form and surface texture have been adapted to the design of the touch switches. The clearly structured, puristic door panelling combines elegance with a high level of functionality, and also offers plenty of storage space. The optional ioniser in the air flow of the climate control system is also new. It serves to reduce the number of germs and other pollutants in the air, improving the air quality in the passenger compartment and thereby noticeably enhancing the well-being of vehicle occupants. At Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, we offer you a range of personalization options for the exterior and interior of your car.

Left and right of the analogue rev counter are two high-resolution 7-inch displays with essential vehicle information on four round instruments. Numerous details such as the seat belts, accent stripes on the seat centres, decorative stitching and embroidered '911' logo on the headrests are available with a choice of Slate Grey or Lizard Green as accent colours. But with all due respect to the past, designers must not lose sight of the future. The solution lies in making modern enhancements to the shape. This might sound easy, but it is a big challenge for a designer. Although the silhouette of a 911 is unlikely to present a problem, the details are extremely difficult.

A large area opens to the outside so that headroom is not restricted. The electric slide/tilt sunroof made of tinted toughened safety glass expands the sense of space, even when closed. The chassis systems optimize the vehicle features of the 911 and make it even faster, more agile and more comfortable. The hood with its characteristic dynamic recess profiles – and its straight slope to the front fascia – is a reference to the earlier 911 models.

At low speeds, the system steers the rear wheels in the opposite direction to that of the front wheels. At high speeds, the system steers the rear wheels in the same direction as that of the front wheels. This increases driving stability, above all at high speeds or when overtaking on the race track. For a few high-speed moments I’m the lucky one in his driver’s seat, a work of woven-leather art in its own right. Coblitz’s one-off is a formidable yet nimble sports car with a howling, high-revving soul, hellbent on devouring the curvaceous canyon road we’re on as though it might never see another.

On the 911 GTS Coupé and Cabriolet models equipped with PASM sports suspension, the body sits 10mm lower than the standard PASM suspension, the springs are harder and shorter and the rear axle has so-called helper springs. On the 911 GTS Coupe and Cabriolet models equipped with PASM Sport suspension, the body sits 10 mm lower than the standard PASM suspension, the springs are harder and shorter and the rear axle has so-called helper springs. This applies not only to the exterior of our current and future Porsche sports cars, but also – and especially – to the interior. Unlike in the past, nowadays the interior of a vehicle is a key purchase factor, and one to which manufacturers pay great attention.

The upholstery of the seat cushion and backrest of the Sport Seats Plus is firmer and sportier, and they offer even better lateral support compared to standard Sport Seats. The seats are covered with smooth leather, the seat centers with Sport-Tex. The sapphire glass on the back, meanwhile, reveals the winding rotor. The design is based on the wheels of the limited-edition model and is also painted in Platinum (silk finish). The rotor cap with the Porsche crest is a reference to the centre lock of the exclusive wheel design.

All of our services are vertically integrated which means we keep all repair, fabrication and auto-body in-house. The Porsche 718 is often referred to as the Boxster and the Cayman. The Boxster is one of the more popular Porsche models for Montclair, Ontario, Claremont, Riverside and San Dimas drivers due to its gorgeous styling, convertible top, and lower entry price compared to other Porsche models.
